When, will I stop thinking of you?
My mind throws up pictures often
This one, is my favorite
Standing above on a Saturday morn
Your day off, but there in my presence
You raise your arm to wave
And from your coat
Leather strands do dangle
Because the sun does shine
You are silhouetted
I cannot see your face
But I KNOW you are smiling
In a conversation, you recall
And tell me about that coat I saw
And in a text that day later, you tell me
"Well, there was no one else I came to see"
There are many moments
Exactly like this one
When I do remember
That you totally fell too
You gave me something
To fulfill my dreams
Showed me life
As never seen
I protect these memories
With all of my heart
And still ask of God
That He allow continuance
Of that breath-taking start
And the beauty we shared of our open hearts
Loving Security
Continues on and on for me
