As I know deep inside, "tomorrow", most times is better
My youngest child and I just finished dinner
It seems dinnertime was the same time for the birds outside
:) They feasted on the bread I threw to them :)
Together, we dined to the tune of their happy song
And in conversation, Shane said to me
"I have seen lots of bluejays this Spring
especially at my friends' houses ...
It's funny, when I say to them, hey
there's another bluejay, none of them seem too interested.
I've also seen a couple racoons lately
and no one is surprised by that either."
My heart delights at his observations of nature
And of his admission!
This child's heart, my fourth, has always beat close to mine
And has shared my love of nature
We wondered aloud why some dismiss the wonder
And laughed at the number of times
I have summoned him to come see something that we can ponder! :)
Given the strain of the last few weeks,
Tonight's dinner is one to treasure!!
Happiness, truly, comes in the simplest of forms.
At this moment, I know that I have been a great mother.
