My Haiku ~ With Water

Haiku

A three line verse that captures and expresses emotion, events, images and love from our daily world and lives.  Inspirational awareness.  First line = 5 consonants; Second line = 7 consonants; Third line = 5 consonants.  "Haiku is poetry meant to convey and evoke emotion... The strength of Haiku documents life's aha monents in flashes of unusual clarity and insight into the human condition in contrast to nature.  The Haiku Moment, refers to that sense of transcendence after reading a haiku, when the image, the idea, and the implication blossoms in your mind."

For a time period I wrote Haiku daily...to a random picture I was given.  Because of my love of water in so many forms, it is not surprising that more than 60% of my 500 Haiku's paint a waterful moment. These are some of my dances with Haiku ~ a beautiful journey within the journey of life and its many, many wonderful dances.

My Haiku ~ With Water

God's day ends perfect. . .

in a dance with the sunset

over ocean deep

Before the darkness

He shows us hope in beauty

that a new day comes

Two options are here . . .

Climb life's mountain before you

Swim life's ocean depths

Indigo-blue sea

surrounding isle of nature

~Secure memories~

Cascading waters

fall upon me, I do pray

~Graceful mystery~

Forrest spreads it legs

to let Nature's torrent stream

impregnate beauty

Reflections of love

in an October season

mirror so clear here

Glistening water

like glass. . .shows perfection true

Nature's finest hours

Under the willow

along pond's sweet reflection

life's swan songs are found

Champagne hills rolling

Cabin nestled snug amongst

edging golden pond

Shadow casting doubt

Driftwood ~ lfeless upon shore

Foaming waves renew

Turquoise sea body

embraces red rock sculptures

Clouds' passion, spark dance

The perfect swan's song~

Water glistens, current drifts~

Thoughts are free to be

Current of life's blue

sometimes rough against rock's stance

Spray, cries of passion

My Guidng Lighthouse

Draw me through woods, out to sea

sparkling diamond blue

Swan...Graceful Angel

Silent in your life venture

through water's current

God's light keeps us near

He reaches upon wet shore

through ocean of life

Over ocean calm

Sun sets quiet. . .gives peace strong

Inviting life's calm

A pond of Lillies!

Offering plenty choices

Ours for the taking

Wonder of the stream:

winding, weaving, over rocks...

Always pushing on

Current, almost still

striving for peace-filled moments.

Drifting through today.

Here, there are two worlds!

Trees lining lakeside below

Mountains, snow-capped high

Glossy water gleams

Reflection exact ~ Flawless

Validity drifts

Lighthouse draws us home

Sea of passion spreading wings

Sensual pleasures wild!

Amber dunes of sky

majestic and beautiful

hold ocean hostage

Crystal pond serene

Re-creation of Eden?

Perfect in promise

Sunset. . .Star of God

Ocean calm. . .Leading to Home
